To foster the growth of the entrepreneurial community and the business climate in Hays, the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Hays State University Kansas Small Business Development Center have partnered to offer a business mentoring program that is targeted toward those who own and operate businesses in the community.

To be a Mentor

• Business ownership or significant management experience in excess of three (3) years
• One to three hours per month to invest in the program
• Willingness to help the next generation of entrepreneurs make more effective decisions by lending your ear and by sharing your thoughts and experiences.

To be a Protégé

• Own your own business which should be viable and your primary career focus
• One to three hours per month to invest in the program
• Willingness to grow your business and accept advice from successful business owners in the community.
